Physics for Scientists and Engineers, Volume 1, Chapters 1-22 ReviewHeed my warning, fellow college students and/or curious minds. I've been in college for nearly three years now, pursuing degrees in both mechanical engineering and mathematics, which means I've become fairly accustomed to viewing horrible text books. The fact that I claim this to be the worst college text book I've ever owned means something, and I want to emphasize this for the sake of getting my point across.I've learned little-to-nothing as a result of reading this book. As a matter of fact, the explanations for Newton's three laws are so confusing it made me feel like I was learning LESS about Physics. The fact that my teacher assigns us homework with questions from the book doesn't help, considering it's seemingly impossible to solve these problems without help or prior knowledge on the subject. There was even an improper use of the semicolon on one page, and that was very annoying.
If you use this for a college course and have never taken Calculus-based Physics before (like me), you will more than likely struggle. If you have the option, get a different book. This one is less expensive than other Physics books but you will, in a sense, be paying a greater price in the long run.
